Picture of Hope

One year down the lane......and the analysts say it will take TWO generations for the affected areas to recover fully. reading and watching the accounts of the affected people in newspapers and on the television still bought tears to my eyes. They most certainly are moving ahead, what choice do they have? but what they went through is beyond what we can imagine.....
reports in Dawn, especially the one about those female students really touched me. Seeing your loved ones dying helplessly in front of u, ur life's savings, homes and everything being reduced to dust and rubble; HOW will they recover? and when????

and it makes u think of something else too......the fraility of life and the unpredictable nature of it. the castles we build and so carefully decorate can become dust and bricks in no time, the future we so carefully plan may not be there after a second, i might not be even able to click the 'publish' button here......thats how unpredictable it is!

....last year, this time around, we were busy planning better ways of generating more and more funds. most of the time was spent in PAF museum the earlier few days.....and God, the spirit was so heartening; young boys and girls.....working tirelessly with the blazing sun and roza. May we all get the reward for whatever little contributions we made.....and may those who were affected be fully recovered....and happy. Ameen.
