Rain rain go away.....Oh i cant believe its actually me-the-rain-lover saying this! but seriously, it just takes a strong rainy spell in Karachi to make any rain lover think otherwise.
The Nando's board near the underpass says: Why didnt the chicken cross the underpass? Bacoz it couldnt swim like a duck!
See, the underpass in our beloved 'rapidly developing' city is now a beautiful giant bathtub, filled to the brim with rain water.....the streets in Bath island and clifton and many other areas are now the beautiful lanes of Venice minus the charming boats. but seeing the current situation, it wont be long when we'll see people keeping boats for such seasons! woudlnt it be lovely rowing boats on IIC and getting off at that multinational bank where u work? :P maybe they'll have a five star ferry service for all those class concious people! lolz
oh and even the dreary old dull boring Karachi university is benifitting from the natural supply of water.....the corridor i have to walk thru every morning to get to my department has huge open spaces on either side of it.............but now...one of the sides has a wonderful view- that of a proper lake with natural growth on its edges and migratory birds!! yee haw! lovely isnt it?
oh and if u just are blind and cant see the rain for urself then u are sure to FEEL it by the dripping rain water in ur class rooms...kewl na?
