HomeeeThe floor tiles were gleaming, the walls were spotless, the carpet looked brand new, and every piece of furniture in the room was sparklingly clean. No speck of dust was found even on close scrutiny. hmm....move ahead. Arghh this is the CLEANEST kitchen i have seen in ages! the fridge was sqeaky clean and shiny, the counters looked as if no one had used them ever.........move ahead move ahead. *sigh*
This all looks right out of a catalogue.....amazing!
But
It looks devoid of any life. The expression of the lady proudly showing us around her prized possessions immediately changed into a desolate one when my mother inquired about her family. Her husband doesnt live here, he lives in Saudia, earning. Her children are all away.....for studies.
*sigh* and the poor lady spends all her day, gardening and cooking, for whom god knows.
Back at home....
Scattered laundry greets me in my rooms, books on my bed, chocolate wrappers on my table, dishes on the kitchen counter, left over food begging for attention, myriads of jam jars, honey bottles, syrups, medicines on the dining table, clothes-hangars on the bathroom pegs, and dozens and dozens of peices of colored paper with abstract drawings by my lil sis stuck proudly on the fridge. This is home- and suddenly, I am in love with this messy, cluttered place, and i am proud to call it HOME! :-)
