i saw the funniest (well not exactly THE funniest) thing today on my way back home frm uni.
there's this Telenor office near Gulshan chowrangi......
.........and they'r being very clever!
u must have heard how Telenor offices were burnt down in Lahore yesterday?? and obviously they didnt want anymore damage done to their place so the spokeperson formally said that we condemn the publication of cartoons in Norway and we have nothing to do with it. why are we being stoned and blah blah blah.
So, yesterday the one on University road was all covered up with tents and surrounded by security guards, but this one here at Gulshan Chowrangi is being very very clever. guess what they did?
they've taken out Telenor signs from all over the place including the main signboard. then they covered the borad and their windows with huge white banners with La ilaha illallah....
they've covered their whole office with the Kalimah! See who dares to stone it or set it to fire now??
clever, no?
PS: i really wanted to take a snap of the place but considering that i was in a bus, it was next to impossible. maybe i would take a photo later and post it here!!
