When will our cricket players learn to speak proper English? Or rather when will we start accepting and respecting the fact and address them in urdu? Yes m referring to Inzi bhai over here, why did Ramiz Raja have to address him in English when he knew it perfectly well that Inzimam is anything but good in English. Poor soul, he has to struggle so much to understand the question and then answer it! Its arrite if he doesn’t know English, we cant expect him to learn English at his age but others should respect it and avoid talking with him in English……
Anyway, I watched TV after a looooong time today because of the match and a lot of things irked me about the Ads shown, the quality of soaps etc etc. Like why couldn’t Bonanza have a decent Ad which wouldn’t make you bow your head? Is holding a girl being ‘moderately enlightened’? Does ‘enlight-ment’ means you have to switch channels upon certain Ads? And that Begum Nawazish Ali is such a pathetic character! Whoever thought of creating it?? Aarghhh
Progressing is one thing but distorting ones own cultural and religious values in another thing altogether! I guess I am better off without a TV! Books are such a lovely companion anyway! :-)
