A newspaper seller on IIC:
“Star-pALaAs band hogayaaaaaaaa” (star-plus has been banned)
“saas bahu ka jhagra khatam ho gaya!!!” *in a much louder voice*
Well see the state our society is in?? The heading on an eveninger was about the ban on Indian channels, and the hawker very aptly judged the interest in kyunke saas bhi kabhi bahu thi and made it a point to sell the paper by: saas bahu ka jhagra khatam hogaya! I found it pretty amusing, no?
I saw a totally adorable miniature model of a Pakistani truck complete with all the adornments in Zainab market today. It was just so cute with all those shiny little ‘things’ dangling from it and brightly colored body. There was even a miniature rickshaw!
I just love those craft shops over there, all the metal decorative items, handy crafts, shawls etc.
