Went to PAF museum today. A lot of people from various departments of our university went there today as volunteers. Man, a TREMENDOUS amount of goods have been collected over there and stuff is pouring in 24/7. People are working there day and night. If not for anything else just go and see the spirit people are working with. Its amazing how they work with their fasts and in such a hot weather. The majority of volunteers are students from colleges and universities. And there are a surprisingly large number of girls busy in sorting, packing and what not.
We went at the clothes section and started sorting clothes into categories. And believe me most of the clothes people have given out are in perfect condition. Some are even brand new!
They have made different sections for food, milk, clothes, medicines and Kafan cloth. Just go there and start working. There is obviously no proper organizer or anyone but still you should see the discipline people are working with.
They really really need more volunteers to help with the ever growing pile of goods.
I’ll be going there again tomorrow morning.
Even if its for half an hour, you should go and contribute.
They are constantly asking people to bring permanent markers (so that they can label the cartons), rolls of tape or a rope to pack the cartons, pair of scissors etc. they also need spare cartons or good quality plastic bags.
Cummon, get up and get going!
