Emotional Landscapes....

Had the best day in ages today!!! I haven’t enjoyed this much since I dunno how long. T got engaged recently and treated us to pizza today. We went to Millennium mall for lunch and had a lot of fun. Today after a long time we did so much ‘masti’ like cracking up insane jokes and giving stupid dares. S dared me to go inside a men’s clothing store which had all sorts of so-called funky stuff on display like masks, hats, bandanas, and chains etc. imagine a hijabified lady going inside such a store which was barely big enuff for 2 ppl to stand at a time!! So bad H couldn’t make it today bcuz of some meeting she had at her office. There was no one today to exclaim had hai and seriously on our crack-pot harkatein! The three of really missed you yaar!!
After calling it a day, I was thinking on my way home k poor Karachi-walas have only these malls left for some entertainment. There’s no decent place (I m not counting all those zamzama wale hang-outs) left anymore to go and enjoy with your friends, at least no decent place for girls. We could always go to sea-view for fresh air and simply the view of the ocean, but all we get there is the view of garbage and a sea of ppl (and perhaps if u r crazy enough to go on a weekday morning, u’ll find couples of all age groups strolling on the beach and trust me some of them really irritate u!) I used to love spending the nights at my cousin’s who used to live in a 11th floor apartment facing the ocean. The ocean at night and at sun-rise is breathtaking. It’s so calm and peaceful. Kher, she lives there no more.
So, now there’s no place left to hang out. All we do is to shop like wackos or eat like paindoos all the time. By we I mean all the Karachi-walas.
On a different note, I wonder when this jahil qaum of ours will learn some manners??? Today the bus I was traveling in was completely packed when 2 more not-so-slim ladies boarded it, and those *$#^%^ ladies literally pushed and stepped on other people and their belongings to make place for themselves (all my hair got undone during the noora-khushti between the passengers). What’s more when another lady tried to get off the bus, those 2 refused to budge and it was after much screaming and scolding by other people that she moved and that too cursing the other lady. I coudnt believe my ears when I heard her muttering words like moti kaheen ki and bhens. I mean where have our basic attiquettes gone?? Down the leaking sewerage lines I suppose.
